Dragon flying

Post » Wed Dec 05, 2012 5:42 pm

I got this game to not only to just fly dragons but to go back to Morrowind. I was hoping the dragon mount was I am in control of the dragon mount, like the horse's. Not the dragon.... I love the DLC, but I wish the dragon flying was better. Meaning i fly where ever I want to and be able to fly to morrowind instead of spending 250 gold everytime I want to go back to morrowind. I think "some" people where expecting they would be able to control the dragons movements. I was one of them people that thought that. Maybe this maybe fix in a update or something but i hope I can control the dragon not just telling it to go attack this guy, or this animal, or even this dragon attacking me.

You do not have to pay to go back and forth later or right away (maybe I did not notice it when I started) a map icon opens up that you can click to go back to skyrim or solstheim. you will not be able to fly one like you want, atleast not on 360 because of engine limitations and 1000 problems it would cause like cells and towns etc. on pc maybe once modders solve those issues. i'm just glad we get to semi fly them and find it to still be pretty fun. but I think the rest of the content is way more important.

First of all you can fast travel to Solstheim and Skyrim anytime, there is a map marker on the upper right hand side of Skyrim and lower left of Solstheim.

Second i am grateful they have dragon riding at all but fully controlled dragons would bring a Horker load of glitches and that my friend would be a problem.

Ah might be a glitch or something I may have gotten. I can see your point on the problems it may have. I seen many videos of mods that you can control the dragons. Maybe on day it may happen, but i guess i should complain to bad at least we are able to sit on a dragon. =)

those mods aren't truly controlling them either, it's just spawning a dragon ai with a camera view, so far all mods that have flight on pc are just altered horse models or code made to look different and they are really just running around off the ground but don't appear to be since they are made to look like something else but still control like a horse and it's lame lol. so if they have not done it so far I dunno if we'll even get legit flying ones on pc. but hopefully.

Thats also why they haven't had levitation spells since morrowind cause gamebyro really can't handle that kind of stuff, and all skyrim is is a heavily modified gamebyro engine pretty much. morrowind was too but it didn't have celled citys etc. as the graphics got better they had to make sacrifices for oblivion and onward

Np, I was kinda bummed too but I really expected this to happen with my knowledge of the engine etc, it was gonna take a miracle to do it legit lol. atleast the dlc is awesome though in all other areas.
