Killed my 1st Dragon and after I searched it , its soul went into me and when I looked in Magic/Shouts I had that Dragons shout. Later in the game I stumbled across the Ice Dragon place, as it took off from its preach and flew about I ran to the wall and the Shout mark that was glowing, went into me. I ran down the mountain into a grass area thinking it would not follow as it living in the cold, but it did and I seen a log cabin and hid in it. I would step out and the dragon came down fire a couple of arrows into it and do this time and time again until it landed. It was down away from me so I hit it with arrows from a distance and killed it. I went down and searched it and got the goods and once I done that, the dragon melted to bone and the swirling light off it came into me, I take it that was the soul going into me.

A little while later I thought Id give this new Shout a go , but when I went into the Menu the letter of the shout were not white like the 1st one I got and when I clicked on it to put it into use, It said I needed a Dragon soul to operate the Shout.


Q's ? are, does it matter in which order you do this .. find wall and shout then kill dragon or do I have to kill the dragon 1st ? Or do not all dragons have Shouts ? and the one that went into me from the wall belong to another dragon ?

I would hate to go back through all that again , even from the last save point before I came across this one.

Go into your magic tab option, shouts, then the shout you found on the wall. Click the unlock button (R on PC). This will use the dragon soul (and show you how much you have to use) to unlock the word of your choice.
