Dragon souls? What the derp?

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 5:41 pm

have two shouts I've learned which I cannot use. I have killed about 8 or 9 dragons now, everytime it telling me dragon soul absorbed, so why exactly when I try to activate the new shouts does it tell me "Dragon Souls are required to unlock shouts".

Is it only named dragons rather than generic ones whose souls can unlock shouts?

Do I need to soul trap them?

Is this a glitch?

Anyone have any input? Thanks.

Look a the bottom of the screen. It should show the command to "unlock shout" or something like that. Just clicking on one doesn't do it. (Had the same problem yesterday. :))

You need to spend the souls on the shouts. This does not happen automatically. You must choose which ones to spend them on yourself.

I know on the xbox you have to hit 'x' to apply the soul to the shout, then equip the shout afterwards.

Just look around the bottom of the screen for clues on how to unlock it.

I couldn't figure this out until about 25 hours into the game lol.

If you're playing on PC you should be able to press 'X' or something (can't remember but it tells you in the bottom right hand of the screen) then you can use it. I imagine its the same for consoles but no idea what the button would be.
