Dragonbone weapons appearance

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 3:03 pm

As we know they were not in the vanilla game for unknown reasons but Todd has confirmed that we will get Dragonbone weapons with the Dawnguard DLC.
So what do you guys think, how should they look like?
I hope they dont make them look like normal weapons with some kind of Dragon like textures on them, that would be cheap.

The two handed sword should be made of a Dragons lower Jaw.
The two handed axe i would like to see it made of a Dragons tail(ancient/elder Dragon).
A dagger could be made of a Dragons tooth.
For a two handed hammer maybe some Dragon spikes and horns wraqed together with rusty iron, like a big club with spikes.

Probably better, the majority of the weapons in that mod are pre-existing skins in game already.

I bet the guy who took all the time to create this mod from scratch is pissed!

Then again if they actually used his awesome models that would be cool!

If you watch the trailer they released last week, i think the bow he uses at about 0:50 is the dragonbone one

If you see them in game they are even more impressive. I doubt he or any other moder could have done better than that.

Thats something that would be awesome for the two handed sword.Example---->http://www.google.de/imgres?start=86&hl=de&gbv=2&biw=1600&bih=731&tbm=isch&tbnid=dR2mwxuMHBTVRM:&imgrefurl=http://papercraftparadise.blogspot.com/2011/05/monster-hunter-tri-ratholos-flame-sword.html&docid=VJnLg-Z93ymnTM&imgurl=http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3n89YhKO1lg/Tb9BK_Z7shI/AAAAAAAAJLg/8WdGLc1aoH4/s1600/monster%252Bhunter%252BRatholos%252BFlame%252BSword%252Bpapercraft.jpg&w=638&h=546&ei=gavPT6LwCpHntQaftqToCg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1093&vpy=86&dur=632&hovh=208&hovw=243&tx=155&ty=136&sig=116714866010944877486&page=4&tbnh=164&tbnw=214&ndsp=26&ved=1t:429,r:11,s:86,i:28

They should look nothing like those, especially considering the weapons in that mod are just re-skins of available weapons in the actual game...

That is the worst mod I've ever seen. I am angry and personally offended that anyone could consider that worth their time. What a hunk of crap.

I probably won't use the dragonbone weapons, as daedric will probably be better.
Never understood why dragonbone is farther in the smithing tree but daedric is better.

This mod is more like what I would like to see - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=14701. Bone infused with metal for strength and cutting ability and leather for grips ect. The weapons in that first link would be disappointing.

Sir todd said they are stronger than deadric weapons. I dont really use smithing anymore but I hope that dragonbone weapon do NOT spawn in containers/stores. I despise level scaled loot and dragonbone weapons should be special and only be obtainable through smithing. I think the warhammer will look badass.

This is my thought exactly. I didn't even bother getting the dragon armor perk in my second and third play-through's for this very reason.

i'm a monster hunter fan too but i don't think it will go well in skyrim with these giant weapons.
