Drunken Huntsman now sells 1300 iron arrows...

The Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun was a staple for arrow supply of my level 42 archer high elf. With the latest patch, which I'd held off installing on our Xbox until about a week ago, he now only sells iron arrows. They keep building up- starting with whatever iron I'd sold him over the weeks, and now he re-supplys himself with iron arrows. But no glass or ebony arrows, which I want. I've watched his inventory of iron climb from around 500 to over 1300. I've even purchased some of them, hoping to 'snap' him out of this. But he apparently loves building an enormous stock of iron arrows, and no longer bothers with anything more exotic or powerful.

I read somewhere this was a glitch, but can't find it now I need information about it. I stayed away for three days from his shop but no go- just more iron arrows.

He was the best supplier of good arrows in the game.

There's an archer in solitude- anyonelse have a good supply I can go to?

my stock of ebony has fallen from 227 to something like 80. Too bad we can't make arrows. I can find elven and have been shooting those for most targets.

On a side note, I mentioned we had not installed the latest patch until recently. I don't know if any other Xbox users noticed this, but the climbing ability went up markedly and is no longer a drudge, which I appreciate very much. With thought and a good route, I can now climb many mountains and difficult areas previously out of reach. The 'stickyness' to the terrain is also improved. No more getting stuck in cracks either. At least, most of them. All players at our house noticed the improvement in movement. Dont know if tha'ts supposed to exist or not, but it does on our box. I think they tweaked it a little.

Hmmm, i'm playing on PC and it seems that there isn't any problems with getting different arrows from
the drunken huntsman. Strange i guess. Well, that said, i have a couple of places:

- The solitude fletcher is very good. Have always a good stock of ebon/elven/glass and sometimes
daedric arrows.
- The thieves guild always has a stock of different arrows
- The trader of weapons (don't remember the name) in Markarth

But: the fastest way to get a good stock of arrows are to not neglect the different blacksmiths.
I used to fast travel between the fletcher in solitude/blacksmith to the
trader/blacksmith in Markarth and to the drunkenhuntsman/blacksmith in Whiterun.
(sometimes to the thieves guild if i needed some different bows to)

Now i seldom need any arrows, because with this method i have around +-:

-2000 iron (for training, though i have some training arrows to)
-1200 orcish
-1000 dwarven
-900 glass
-800 elven
-600 ebony
-500 deadric
+ some other crap i don't remember.)

I got a Deadric arrow and put it on a guard in Solitude then stayed there for a few hours when they do target practise and now I have about 2500.

Haha I quietly snuck up behind him and swapped all his steel arrows for one shiny daedric arrow. :)
