Dual Flurry perk upgrade has been broken for months

I fight almost exclusively with dual wielding swords. I realized that when I upgrade the Dual Flurry perk, the perk that makes dual wielding weapons swing faster, to 2/2, when I swing with my right hand the sword just gets stuck in mid swing. It gets stuck over my head like I'm gearing up for the world's strongest power attack, except it never comes down and the sword is forever frozen there until i sheath my weapons.

I encountered this glitch in NOVEMBER. Two month later I'm still waiting for a fix. For quite awhile, I have been capable of upgrading my dual wielding ability, but not being able to upgrade further due to this glitch has nerfed my combat ability substantially and nearly ruined the game.

I care. I really do, but theres nothing anyone can really do about it. Best that can be done is to see if its very common and hope that its fixed in next patch. Im annoyed i became a 'master' of block by investing in 3 perks on the tree

level 46, one-handed 97, Perks: Armsman 4/5, dual flurry 2/2, dual savagery, Bladesman 3/3, Fighting Stance, Savage Strike, Critical Charge.

all her attacks are double the normal speed, actually they almost look tripple, nothings staying in a 'stuck' attack stance, even with power swings to either weapon or dual weapon for the 4 stike positions, same with charged attacks, they are working fine as well, so this one isn't a consistant bug.

Hmmm. So it may just be something which occasionally gets stuck, but doesn't ever sort itself out.

It's become a matter of course for me now, but whenever I notice something odd like this I always return to an earlier save before the issue occurred, and see if it repeats. 9 times out of 10 this fixzxes all problems.

But I'm guess the OP has played A LOT with this issue ongoing. Going back is probably not an option.

The annoying thing with issues like this is they're very difficult to fix in an ongoing game. A code fix to stop them GETTING frozen in future is doable. But a fix that rectifies the issue once it's present is unlikely.

You may have to start over if it bothers you that much.

Have you tried unequipping weapons - and seeing if the same arms goes mental in hand to habd combat? Or with other weapon types? Single sword fighting?

Indeed if you have been playing a lot witht his issue its probably present on all your saves .....or most of them so that makes it harder to fix....you either start all over or just change style ......remember thats always an option if you dont want to get back......

Actually, I revert to a previous save every time I upgrade it. I have been trying to level up to Dual Flurry 2/2 for about 5 levels now, but I always revert to a previous save to remove it because I can't figure out how to fix it.

My most used shout is elemental fury, the shout that makes your weapons swing super fast, and I don't know if it's related. I noticed, also back in November, that the sword in my right hand, the same sword affected by the dual flurry glitch, did not speed up anymore. The sword in my left is super fast, the sword in my right is normal. I recall back before the November patch that both swords were fast.

Ok, the glitch just changed, and I think i figured out the problem.

Before, the sword in my right got stuck in the air and never came down. I just tried it again, and the sword in my right now swings in slow motion. I am literally watching my character play out the full right swing animation as if I'm watching through a slow motion camera, and it uses up stamina as if it's a power attack no matter how long I hold RT. I use my elemental fury ability to speed up, and the sword in my right hand swings at regular speed again, but only for the duration of the shout, before reverting to slo mo again.

So what I've figured is happening, Dual Flurry is working backwards! Instead of dual wielding being 35% faster, it's now 35% slower!

just out of curiosity.... have you tried this:

unequip everything (including armor and jewelry), equip a different weapon, try swinging it? I saw that there was a simular problem with bound weapons causing issues with the players weapon, and this is how the individual resolved it.

I have a glass Warhammer on one of my characters that refuses to swing half the time, damn annoying as it always seems to happen right at the worst possible moment. My sneak dude is also a pain as the sneak animation gets locked, so he'll just be sliding along the ground with his legs not even moving so I have to break sneak and renter for the movement animation to start again.

I can be totally nvde and dual wield pickaxes, and it still happens.

Skyrim seems to want to break the abilities you use most. That is no fun.
