1h dual swords combat. Have I been fighting wrong this whole

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 1:40 pm

WTF Just noticed and tested behind a npc and saved if you hit both melee attacks at the sometime you do double damage vs if you hit one at a time.... It's not like 99% of other games where you just keep swinging the 2 buttons or better off just 1 button and it rotates back and forth at a fun combat speed. From what I can see Melee with 1h weapons is 100% broken and I might have to start over again with 2h....

Anyone else having this same issue?

It's slower to do the 2 handed attack. I mix it up.

I actually did not write down and benchmark timings but you do way more damage over time if you do both double swings rather single swing. Since I started pretty much spammed only the main button.

If I understand it right... If you use both weapons at the same time they do more damage?

That is a problem? :spotted owl:

Yeah so in 99% of games movies and RL people usually swing the swords not at the same time but more of a timed actions like swing swing swing swing well sounded better my head hard to explain but you sort time the swings in and out so you usually have 1 weapon going or at the target. In Skyrim it's like a special head slicing attack that you are suppose to do EVERY attack for optimal damage of dual hand weapons.

Meaning you stand there spamming both weapons same time with the worst animation possible to do good damage.

duel wielding doesn't help unless you have the 35% attack speed bonus perk and the %50 increases damage perk. the only positive is the special.

Trying swing both weapons at the same time for a while in combat. You will start to see what I mean.
