You could just let her beat you down instead of fighting.

There are alternative quests. I know that you can talk to like two or three major members for alternatives. One had me beat up the Priestess of Kynareth in Whiterun, the one who gives you the Guildergreen quest.

I talked to Skjor, Aela, Farkas, Vilkas AND Kodlak Whitemane. None give me any speech option to change the current quest. None.

Equal rights mean equal fights! If he's your boy he'll forgive you I'm sure.

Don't worry, I had to intimidate Adrienne (the chick smith in Whiterun). As soon as that was done, she made some comment, but after that everything was back to normal.

You should have turned it down and asked someone else for a quest.

You could always, y'know, just not do the quest. It's basically the same situation as that guy who was tasked with beating down Mjoll (who was his wife)

I wish we could side with the silver blades and kill the companions sometimes.
