Dungeon Puzzles

Does anyone else think that the dungeon puzzles are too easy? and that the traps in the dungeons should be more deadly?

I play on adept settings.

How often have you been stuck somewhere because you couldn't figure something out? not many is the answer for me.

There are lots of things to do but it's all seems to easy. Combat is fine, although this maybe different for every body depending on how they play.

I'm talking more about other things where you have to use your brain to figure things out. There really isn't enough moments that require you to think too much.

Also another issue for me is that there are not enough alternate out comes for your actions, making a second playthrough a little predictable.

Don't get me wrong,iv'e more than got my moneys worth out of this game ,it's great. But after playing it for hours (295 hours with 2 characters, one at 66 and one at 25) these are the things i think would of made it better.

Playing through it again even using a different race and different perks just isn't "Different" enough

It also feels that the main quest is far too short when compared to the rest of the game. I tried leaving the main quest for as long as i could to level up my charcter first but it still felt like it was over far too soon.

What else could they do to make it more exciting for a second playthrough? With an epic single player game like this with lots of different races to try out it seems essential.

They are easy but at least there are some. Oblivion had next to nothing like that so it's an improvement from that at least

Yes i agree it's an improvement, but it could still be better.

The most important thing for me is a second playthrough must be worth it ..to the extent it sends you on completely different quests depending on who you are and what you do/have done.

I'm probably just being greedy. Ive played the game loads and like it so much i want to play through it again. But it's not different anough and i'm getting bored.

But i'm not ready to be bored with this game yet even after nearly 300 hours lol

I'll Assume you were one of the people who read every preview and review and watched every video before Skyrims release?

I know a couple people who didn't read anything and only watched the basic trailers, so they didn't know about the Golden Claw and solve it's puzzle. Needless to say, they were stuck for a good hour or so before finally figuring it out. After Bleak Falls most traps and Puzzles are quite similar so it becomes easy to figure out.

My latest character has not done any MQ or civil war. She's level 40 or so and is Thane of two cities, with a couple of more soon. Other than Alduin at Skyrim, she has not seen any dragons. She became the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, then abandoned that life altogether. Now she does small favors for everyone from the Priestess of Mara to a miner with a spider problem.

I have my ini file set to where the compass and quest markers do not show. I set my fov to 85 and use that map mod that makes Skyrim look like GoogleEarth. I play on adept because I'm not out to win any prizes - I just like to adventure and have fun.

After playing five other characters (including a 'first playthrough' with this one where I maxed smithing, enchant, blah blah blah), going without the compass, quest points and crosshair has made a whole new game for me. I wander. i see something in the distance, like a tower, yeah, I'll head for it. But I'm not led around by the nose by black compass points or little red dots. Combat is much more fun, and having to search and search an area to find a hidden cave entrance is an enjoyable challenge, not a pain. Try it out sometime!
