They sound like they're British or Australian or whatever the Geico gecko is supposed to be. I think that for the sake of consistency the Argonians are the ones who should sound like the Geico gecko and the Dunmer should go back to sounding like heavy smokers.

Because obviously if a gecko were to actually talk, he would sound just like the Geico gecko.

Yeah it's pretty disappointing they had such a great voice then they just yank it away for it to never return.

Well the raspy voice was a side effect of living in Vvardenfell under the constant ash filled atmosphere now that they are on Solstheim with only a fraction of the ash they once breathed in it is no wonder they sound different. Just like the Dunmer on Morrowind proper shouldn't have raspy voices since they didn't live under an ash cloud.
