Dwemer character

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 2:20 am

i want to create a good Dwemer character but have run out of ideas.
i have decided to be an ambassedor for the Dwemer in wake for the return as rulers of Skyrim.
so far ive thought of an elven race but i dont know what one to pick.
i will have a home in Markarth as i wish to regain my former home.

i need a decent name and also what skills to concentrate on.
once i have acess to Dwemer armor, its all i'll wear.
also what guests should i do.

sorry for spellings and grammer.

Aren't Dwemer dwarves? You can't make a dwarve in Skyrim.

Well it'll have to be an elf, and seeing as they lived underground it'll probably have to be a pale one. Bosmer model maybe? And any quests that take you to Blackreach would be a good start.

dwemer are a race of elves that dissapered befor the events of skyrim.
also if they where dwarves then the armor wouldnt fit any race in the game.

I believe the dwemer armour in skyrim isn't actual dwemer armour but made from dwemer metal to look dwarvern. Could be wrong on that though as it's a debatable topic.

Its both. You can make yourself but also find some, so there is a chance that it is original, but you will never know.

dwemer = dwarven

Dwarven is just a name they were given by other races, due to giants calling them like that. The original name is Dwemer, from dwe-mer (deep Elf), like bos-mer (wood elf), dun-mer (dark elf) and alt-mer (high elf). So yeah, they're elves. Also: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Dwemer

If you're a lot into roleplaying, you'll have to find a damn good reason on why your character is still roaming the world. All the dwemer vanished from Nirn when Kargenac started working on the Heart of Lorkhan. Only Yagrum Bagarn in Morrowind still lived on Nirn.

Found it bit of let down that Dwemer were just anouther variety of elves. Would be good if they were unique race. Im just a big fan of Tolkein style Dwarves I guess, as they were ment to be the direct opposite of elves.

I personally found it intriguing.

But yes, the Dwarves are not dwarves at all in the literal sense. They were just as big as any other man or mer, but when they met the giants in ages past they were given the nickname "Dwarves" and it just stuck.
