Easy way to get high-ranking Legion armor... : Fallout: New Vegas

I'm looking for an easy way to get my hands on high-ranking Legion armor ala Centurian or Praetorian without having to kill anyone (or, if I have to, not getting in trouble for it).

Any recommendations?

Derp, I am. No way to get in there without being on "Good" terms with the NCR, huh?

Could I just kill someone with a stealthboy activated?

Armor works sometimes, I went into the fort wearing Centurian Armor (From mister Phoenix..) and i was'nt attacked until AFTER i shot up the place.

Yeah, I could easily infiltrate McCarran with some Trooper armor, but do you think it'll let me interrogate Silas? Will Boyd trust me?

Maybe, I mean you could always just kill her and take a key (If she holds it anyways) and go in there and blow his head off.

While using a silenced weapon at least.

I can't remember, isn't the head guy at Cottonwood wearing a set? You could either draw NCR patrols over from Searchlight using low powered weapons to tap them into chasing you, or play toxic waste management and clear out the entire village (no guarantee of no rep hit there, I have not had the opportunity to do that myself).

Sneak behind your victim, put any explosive (dynamite, mine, grenade) in his pocket, if you pass the pickpocket check he goes Booom. You will get exp, the armor and no negative rep.

I wonder what happens if you reverse pick pocket someone from a faction, say NCR and give them Legion armor...

They go "NPC cannot wear these faction armour", just like Boone wouldn't get in the BoS T-51b, or get ED-E to carry it..........

I sold Contreras a suit of fully repaired Praetorian armor and he put it on.
