what is a mill-owner?

A man/woman who owns a Sawmill, or any other production/store. It gives you a good amount of money per day.

I seem to be making money easier in Skyrim than I ever did in Oblivion.

Yeah, I married a girl from Riverwood who worked in a store with her brother before moving with me to Whiterun. She set up a shop in my house.
