Ebony Blade & Ondolemar (the thalmor in Markarth)

Post » Mon Jun 04, 2012 12:15 am

Is he a valid target to charge the blade after you do his quest? After the quest he was saying something like "there are few pleasures in life higher then having your company"...
I managed to kill him with 2 hits from stealth with the blade, undetected after the first, but after the first he was saying something like "you are the one that hurt me before"
After the second hit which killed him there were no changes in the blade's stats.
Should that kill enchance the blade? Did I done something wrong, maybe the 2 hits with pasue between? What needs to be shown on the blade to know it worked?
Thanks

You need to kill 10 friends with the blade for it to upgrade to its maximum potential.

He liked you initially but disliked you for hurting him before the kill, so judging by the logic and the fact your blade didn't improve - the kill didn't count I'm afraid.

Thought of that too but by this logic only one hit kills would work...
Should I see something on the blade stats after each kill or just in the end?

Every friend kill makes the drain health enchantment more effective. If you kill someone you did a quest for, you get a charge when you kill them. Ondolemar is no different. If you kill a certain number of people, Mephala will say something.

Ok, know that but it has to show that somewhere?...i see nothing after the first kill which was Pndolemar. I want to make sure the 2 hits kill didn't ruined it...

For every correct kill, the enchantment will increase by 2 points.

Initially, it has Absorb Health 10 pts.
After the first kill it will be Absorb Health 12 pts. and so forth, until the maximum of Absorb Health 30 pts. (10 kills.)

Edit: edited in the correct enchantment. D:

Sharpen the blade. Sharpen the blade. I have an entire smithing outfit. Smithing = 100 x 2 = 200. But is it really necessary? Time shout + Nightengale blade + (my special dagger) = death for the entire group. Then sheath and pay the $3000 gold fine.

By the way that "special blade" I enchanted has Absorb Health 28 and I made it when it was enchanting 70. Glass dagger w/ 72 damage (unadjusted for one handed). Just work on your enchanting skills.

I can't see that enchancement shown on it's stats...how should I check if it worked?

Oh it's Absorb Health, my bad.

But it should say it under it's picture when you hover over it.
