Eff it, I'm doing a master level run

Orc - two hand, heavy armor (limited to Orcish), smithing, archery

Should I use block? I could see the bash come in handy to set up power attacks.

Maybe throw some enchant in there to help deal with mages who tear you apart on master.

Any other suggestions?

Master Level?! yeah ummm did anyone tell you that as you level up the creatures and the NPCs get harder to take down as you level up that means you have re adjust your strategy in combat so you can't just use two-handed, u can use heavy armor(Get Dragonbone Armor with Dragonbone weapons ONLY), use magic a lot so buy healing spells, conjuration spells, and Destruction spells and level all those up ASAP!

What?

Playing on Master is easy... he just needs to take a follower with him.

Anyway if you want to wear Orcish only then don't train smithing. I did it and the game simply became too easy. Block is a must for two-handed weapons, I think.

Two handed will work under any condition you just have to prime the hits coming in from meleers set them up for a power miss and BANG BANG, open with a non fatigue swing, and crush them back with a power swing, few wacks with a non fatigue swing, then power crush them for stagger again...

but 2 handed orcs... will just chew people up basically.. especially if you prime with archery....

Yeah block is a must if you want to survive.
Besure to increase restoration (Healing health and stamina spells) or alchemy (Potions) to help you in emergency.

I tried Master when I bought the game for the first time.
I got to Greybeards but I realized it is just killing my experience for me, it was all going so slow, I mean, I am a bloody Dovahkiin, and I get two shot by farmer woman.
Atm, I am playing on Master with my CHAOTICMAGEOFDOOM and it is okay, but try not to use melee class, at least not at the begining. Being one shot by everything isn't quite encouraging. And use tactics! LOADS! And poisons combined with magic save the day!
Good luck!

I play lower difficulties and then realize i was playinng a lower difficulty.. and i go back where i belong.... (carries on for 5 hours repeating the same aspect of master play style and not playing master play style)

i like master play style... HOWEVER... in other elder scrolls I always left it MID LINE difficulty.. default... and if i were to dare place it past there 75% to 100 % id regret it horribly.

so ultimately SKYRIM = nerfed to other elder scrolls.
