SPOILERS....just in case

Tried to read the Elder Scroll (blood) during the Unseen Visions quest. When I click on the button to read it, nothing shows up. The screen just blurs a little and the only thing that shows up is the turn pages icon. This has prevented me from progressing. I downloaded Hearthfire before this, so maybe that contributed?
