Elder Scroll Workaround?

Post » Fri Oct 12, 2012 1:00 am

Anyone know if you there is a work around on the Xbox to remove the two Elder Scrolls from your inventory (The Blood and the other one you get in Dawnguard)? I sided with the vampires so I've read that you can't sell them. I really want them out of my inventory, so I'm wondering if anyone knows a glitch or something to get rid of them since I'm on the vampire side?

Any help would be appreciated.

Nope, there isn't at this time. You're stuck with them. :\ (Edit: Except for the Dragon Scroll, which you can sell to the Orc at the CoW after learning Dragonrend at the Throat of the World)

But on the bright side, despite the weight line saying "20", they actually weigh nothing (I've tested this myself repeatedly), because they are quest items and can't be removed. (All quest items have zero weight.) It's annoying to have them cluttering your inventory up, but at least they do not weigh anything. (For reference, I'm on Xbox as well.)

the moth priest should be able to buy all 3 elder scrolls regardless of which side you're on. if not did you try the orc at arcaneum?

Not if you're on the vampire side. There's a confirmed bug that prevents him from buying the two non-Dragon scrolls, but on the Dawnguard side, you can sell the two to him.

The Orc at the CoW will only buy the Dragon-scroll after you use it at the Throat of the World.

People buying and selling the Elder Scrolls? What is this, Pawn Stars?

"Would you like to buy something that is from another dimension? It is so powerful you will almost certainly go blind if you read it, it is from outside of time and space. The dragon I spoke to said it was an Elder Scroll."

"Hmm. I never heard of an Elder Scroll...It's from outside of time...and space? Sounds pretty rare...Sure, I can give you 20 bucks."

You don't actually sell them to shops so no its not pawnstars you sell them to a Moth Priest(whose entire job is about elderscrolls) or to an Orc dedicated to magical lore.

Yes all true but their value must be beyond numbers yet they still sell for?

Their useless to anyone unable to interpret them, and the imperial palace contained hundreds of elderscrols. So even if the scroll is priceless its useless to just about everyone so its a tough market making the price only 3,000(each). But for an item that is completely useless to anyone who isn't a moth priest or simiarally trained individual that ain't bad.
