Elder Scrolls on my back

Post » Wed Nov 21, 2012 11:40 am

Hey guys, not really a big deal but it is annoying me none the less.I can not seem to find a way to remove the 3 Elder Scrolls from my inventory after the completion of Dawnguard. The Orc chap at the college has no interest in buying them and i cant seem to find anyone else who has an interest in taking them off my reptilian claws. You would think there would be plenty of people just dying to get their hands on not one,not two,but THREE!!! whole Elder Scrolls, anyway anybody know if my game is bugged,or if it is just an oversight the developers did not think to address? they only add a carry weight of 60 or so, so not such a big deal to my character at this point but i am very OCD when it comes to streamlined inventory's and yeah they just bug me! besides wouldn't they look much nicer on a wall in one of the houses or somesuch.

Quest Items weigh 0 despite what their proper weight is recorded as. The weight only comes into play once they lose their quest item properties (and become dropable). If you completed for the Dawnguard you can sell (or give) the two new scrolls to the Moth Priest, but for the Vampire Lord side you're stuck with the two scrolls. You can't sell the Dragon scroll to the Orc if you've bought it back from him once, which is really annoying.

If you're on the PC you can just install a mod which makes them dropable, but console players just have to bear with them.

Why not keep them you never know when you might need them again and think of all the trouble you went to getting them, compared to selling them for what 10 gold?

LOL Urag only paid you 2000 gold for the Elder Scroll. 50K I wish hahahaha

Also, if you are on PC you don't need a MOD to drop those scrolls, you can just use a console command player.drop # (how many to drop)

Get the item ID by typing into the console. player.showinventory, use page up and down to scroll through your inventory to find the ID you need.
