Been meaning to post this for a while. I first found this issue after patching to 1.7, but I believe it's also in 1.8.

Very minor bug, granted, but one which has irritated me a little since discovering it.

Elrindir is the Bosmer fletcher and owner of the Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun. The first fletcher you'll likely encounter in the game.

Originally when you spoke to him he'd greet you with race specific dialogue.

"Ah, hello my friend. In the market for some hunting supplies?"

Or if you happened to be a Wood Elf like him:

"Ah, kinsman. How my heart soars to look upon a brother/sister Bosmer. Please, how can I serve your hunting needs?"

It was a nice touch.

Well, as of patch 1.7 not anymore.

Now the race flag is just replaced by "Hello friend" instead.

Dunno what broke it, or if it was a design decision (Although I can't imagine why in the world that would be the case) but that's how it's been for a while.

I agree, I doubt they took it out on purpose.

Probably some bug.
