Empire presence?

So do you think we will see any imperial forts or legionnaires at least if memory serves correctly there was an Imperial fort last time we visited the island in Morrowind thoughts on this?

Fort frostmoth, though to be honest, it would have probably be deserted during the oblivion crisis, and not garrisoned again, considering other than raven rock, there are not much worth guarding there, and we all know from oblivion, that ebony mine ran dry.

This is all speculations though, mostly based on the fact that in both skyrim and oblivion, the legion doesn't seems to like forts, and preferred if bandits used them instead.

Except when you had to clear out those forts in the CW

It reminds me of RH , when the Western Roman Empire was under the invasion of the barbarian hordes of the Rin, the Emperor recalled the Legions garrisoned in Britain, and never returned there, leaving the island to swim or sunk. It is probably the legions in morrowind or most of them were recalled to fight, and evacuated during the red year.

Well, we see Raven Rock in the trailer, it's Redoran territory now.
I think in the scene with the brownish zomies ( Corpus creatures?) we see the ruins of Fort Frostmoth in the backround.
I highly doubt there will be great imperial activity on Solstheim.

Well, in Lord of Souls, Solsthiem wasn't part of the Empire. And I believe it also said that the Nords ceded it to the Dunmer. So, probably little to no Imperial presence.

Yeah, the primary Imperial presence in Morrowind, what little one there is, is on the mainland I believe. Or at least there was when Umbriel passed over portions of Morrowind. Solstheim is on the other side of Vvardenfell though, which is a wasteland iirc.

I hope not. The Empire has hurt the Dunmer enough.

In 300 years, Frostmoth has probably been abandoned, re-occupied, re-abandoned, re-purposed, and abandoned once more a dozen times over.
And with the Dunmer now claiming/occupying it, we're more than likely to see Dunmeri forces occupying the fort, should it still stand.

I'd actually argue that Morrowind is the province least affected by Imperial rule, for
better or worse. The Dunmer has prospered under Imperial rule, and the Armistice
practically let them have everything they wanted as long as they recognised
themselves as Imperial citizens in an Imperial province.

And to be frank, we don't actually know if Morrowind is still a part of the Empire. With
the Red Year and the Argonian invasion, and most of the other provinces seceding from
the Empire, it is very plausible that they have seceded, but we havn't technically heard or read that
Morrowind has dislodged itself from the Empire as of 4E 201 (as far as I'm concerned).
Most Dunmer in Skyrim are actually in favour of the Empire - but that may just be due to the
Nord supremacists/Stormcloaks spasms in the best snowback "DEY TERK EUR JERBS!"-fashion.

That's actually quite interesting, on the one hand helseth's family, by the way, i believe he is still alive, is firmly connected with the empire, but on the other hand his sister is the queen of firsthold in the summerset isle.

Would he honor his fathers memory whom served as a general in Tiber Septim's legion, and stick it out with the empire. Or would he see an inevitable thralmor victory and betray the empire and use his connection with his sister to ensure he remains in power.

I strongly believe the Thalmor disposed of Morgiah once they took over.
It is known that they killed many old nobles of the Isles. Given her racial backround, she might has been one of them - or she got away fast enough.

Why would the Thalmor be there? High elves & Dark elves are not exactly friends. Solstheim is not part of Skyrim. So it is possible that there is no Thalmor on Solstheim...

But if not.. :gun: Thalmor Season

The Thalmor would only be there is there was something they wanted. But I'm not putting money on them being there. To many antagonists spoil broth.
