Enchanted weapon issue (cheat related)

Post » Thu Aug 16, 2012 1:09 am

I used the restoration glitch to make some super fortified crafting gear and armor. Some stuff didn't work, and I found the answer to why (some skills, once at 100, only get worse with augmentation).

I crafted a bow with insane damgae (this works) but I wanted to add enchantments for absorb health and fire damage. With the fortify enchantment potions, I enabled something like 1,100+ damage on each, but when I used it on a dragon, I clearly inflicted notable damage from the base weapon damage rating, but I saw no magic effect. In theory, it should have been a one-shot dragon slayer, but the magic didn't work.

Is there max limit you can "cheat" with enhanced weapon damage enchantments and if you go past it the enchantments don't work?

As big as the game is, it's the option. I can always shuck the gear when I want to play normally.

I must admit, it's kinda fun going in and killing a dragon by punching it to death. Might get old after a while, but hey, it's fun right now.

Indeed, it is a game where you can do whatever you want. I've done this glitch before with other enchantments like the talos necklace for infinite shouts (omg fun), but never noticed a cap, hopefully someone will see this and answer your question soon.
