An enchanting perk or service that lets us keep the Item aft

Anything like this would be a massive addition to the game IMO as I don't think it is just me who plays a pure mage, who uses mage armor and is very dissatisfied with the lack of decent looking unenchanted clothing in the game. Nearly every unenchanted robe is a re-texture of the same one and that one doesn't look very fitting for a master wizard anyway. Then when you do find a nice unique clothing set in game, it nearly always comes with a pretty useless enchantment you won't use for more than few levels (especially if you have high enchant skill), forcing you to sell it or throw it away and return to that same old tired robe with the better enchant... Some hoods would be nice also.
Sorry am just sick of seeing Greybeards, the Psijic order etc.. turn up in their fancy robes and am standing there in something that looks like I stitched together in 2 minutes. Please give us something decent to wear we can enchant ourselves or at least make it possible to return items we disenchant... Pretty please!

A disgruntled dedicated follower of Mage fashion.

Anyone feel the same?

The subject title of this thread is very misleading...

The subject title implied you wished to keep the item you disenchanted instead of destroying it to learn its properties.

What you're really saying is you want an ability to UNenchant some item, particularly hoods, for cosmetic purposes.

Not sure if you can edit subject lines - but I suggest editing your subject line to reflect that.

I would like the ability to disenchant items so I could put what I want on it. That would be a great perk.

(I thought the subject title was fine.)
