Enchantment Bug? Help me pls^^

Post » Fri Jan 27, 2017 4:00 am

Hey guys,

i recently got a bug i guess. My enchantments have no! impact on the game.. for example i got two items with a smithing enchantment, but the dmg of the weapon won′t increase on the grinder. It′s the same with and without the enchanted gloves, neckless or potions..

I also tested out if i needed the smithing perk of this category, for example steel, but it also doens′t change anything

(i got the unofficial patch installed and load orders are fine; i aso got no smithing mods or anything related to this bug)?

I would really appreciate if you could help me guys! :)

stay awesome,

your Storm

What's the magnitude of your enchantments? Smithing works in "steps". You need to increase you skill a certain amount to be able to increase the quality of your tempered items.

Have you tried other enchantments, like a weapon enchantment to see if it affects the enemy?

At first thanks for your fast answer:)

I got 34% enhanced smithing on my gauntlets and neckless and even with smithing over 80 it doesn′t change anything at all( i cheated the smithing to lvl 80 on another savegame)

The main problem is, that i play on expert difficulty and as a battlemage-type character without smithing it′s not cool to have a sword with only 37 dmg on lvl 34:(

I guess Alchemy enchantments work pretty well :)

As i can tell, your sword is at least superior quality. What was your smithing skill when you improved it last time? Do you have the perk for the respective material?

Take off your fortify smithing items and go to skills screen. Check if you smithing skill level is not red. Are you using mods that adds more disease effects?

Last thing you can try before diving into more drastic measures is to increase your smithing 5 points and then try to see if you can improve your sword with and without those enchanted items.
