Enchantments for Wuuthrad

Post » Tue Jul 10, 2012 2:41 am

I'm interested in enchanting Wuuthrad, however since this is a one time deal I want to make it count. Do you think I should go straight damage with lightening and fire? Or perhaps fire and drain stamina.

I also thought maybe lightening and damage magicka like a true "elf grinder".

*I think it goes without saying, but yes I do have 100 enchanting and perks.*

Wuuthrad's a unique looking weapon free of the hideous runes that come with enchanting. Why on earth would you want to do ruin/rune its look?

I would do Absorb Magicka instead. Don't just damage their Magicka, add insult to injury by stealing it from them. Even if you don't want it. :P

I know right? I feel the same way, like I'm bastardizing the great weapon. I think it's awesome and want to use it however, and because of the fact that I can't smith it I have to do something to improve it in higher difficulties.

I do however refuse to change it's name. That would be just.... Wrong.

I like to add the Poacher's Axe enchantment to Wuuthrad for [censored] and giggles. Hurts elves and animals. :P

I really wish that you could remove the runes from enchanted weapons (at the very least when they're on display). Your clothes don't light up like a Christmas tree when you enchant them. Do you know why? Because it's a terrible design decision. Same with the weapons in my opinion.

It wouldn't be so bad if the unique ones didn't have the runes and you could name your weapons/armor when improving them.

Years ago I played Morrowind a bit too much and had some feverish dream that I could enchant my RL clothes to get them to have a nice glow. (Resist Paralysis in Morrowind looked awesome on a particular common robe). I was half awake and jumped out of bed with the thought 'I'll just go do that now.' I was so disappointed when reality sank in.

Yep, and went on a cliffracer hunting vacation in the Grazelands. I also commissioned some clothing items made from an incredible chatoyant aubergine shot satin. It was black with an incredible floating lustre with the aubergine underlying it like looking into water. I had to search the best fabric houses from all over the world to find something that reminded me enough of the game effect, but the quest payed off. Dreams can come true. :D

I would go for Lightning and Drain Magicka. Just because I hate Mages who I am trying to kill in game.

Damage magicka has more of an effect and less cost. I also don't use magicka, so I just want to make them as feeble as I can before I slice their heads off.

Drain Stamina is pretty good for a two handed weapon because it means you can spam power attacks.
