I simply just don't have the patients for large scale raids anymore. From the time it takes to form and actually get things done to trying to babysit X amount of "im entitled to everything" kind of people. I just cant do it. Maybe it's me getting older or not having near as much time, or am simply turned off by 90% of what the MMO community has become. And I used to love raiding, from EQ to early WoW. For the past few years though any thoughts of raiding, in any mmo really just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
I would really enjoy challenging, single group content with a group of friends with full on progression involved. Not like your basic "heroics" or "challenge modes." Something a little more in depth and much harder. I wouldn't want it to become raids for casuals. But if you take out all the time and crap you have to deal with in a large scale raid, it would give players a lot more time to work on bosses in your small knit group. I'm not saying there shouldn't be big group raids either and I wouldn't even expect it to have equally as good loot as the bigger raids.
Like I said, I don't mean this as a way to compete with the hardcoes, I wouldn't expect it be an equal in gear or progression. Just a different route for small group/small guilds to enjoy.
