Enemies and Bosses in Games...

Post » Fri Aug 03, 2012 2:55 am

Just a few questions about villains/enemies in the games...

Hardest Boss you've ever beaten?

As for me.. I guess I'll have to say Nomad from RuneScape because I can't remember any other boss that killed me over 40 times before I've defeated him..

The main villain you truly hate/dislike?

As for me.. Lucien, the Mahjarrat from RuneScape, is the only villain that really got on my nerves.. And really ticked me off... I'm glad I was able to do the quest and saw him get killed before I quit RuneScape though sad that I wasn't the one who killed him..

Your favorite common enemies?

As for me.. Liches.. I love fighting Liches in all sorts of games and always been a big fan of them. That or maybe Dremoras from TES series..

Any other enemy or boss that you liked a lot?

Hmm... Jagnar Tharn from Arena and Shao Kahn from the original MK (And newest MK) are ones I liked a lot..

Propably the final boss of the first Rathcet and Clank. That was "80's NES game" difficult. On second playtrough with RYNO he was a breeze though :hehe:

Can't think of any villain i've really hated

And zombies and their equivalent. Shooting them, burning them, blowing them up, all good fun ^_^

Genshin, Chapter Two.

Genshin, Chapter Eight.

Genshin, Chapter 14.

The Archfiend, Chapter 14.

The New and Improved Archfiend, Chapter 14.

Elizabet, Chapter 14.

Alexei, Chapter Four.

Yeah, all my frustrations are from Ninja Gaiden II, notably Genshin and anyone in Chapter 14. Chapter Two and Fourteen were the absolute worst! Gah! The memories!

The enemy that I like a lot would have to be Legate Lanius. I have a deep respect for him and I think Obsidian handled him well.

The villain I dislike would have to be Darth Vader from The Force Unleashed 1 and 2. In the games, he is a complete ass hat and it's fun trashing him in the 1st and nearly electrocuting him in the second.

Shadow of the Colossus may have been just sixteen boss battles, but they were some pretty amazing ones.

The most difficult boss I have ever faced though might just be Melchior from Fallout 2 if you don't kill him fast enough. Though the Mother Deathclaw from Fallout 1 is definitely a contender.

I went into a cave where a deathclaw was in Fallout 1, went in and mowed it down with my combat shotgun. I was like "that's it? That's the mighty deathclaw?" then I peeked at my health and I was on the verge of death. I didn't even realize it nearly eradicated me since I didn't let him get many swings on me. I can't imagine what a mother would be like!

I think the hardest enemy I recall was that chap at the end of Half Life, mainly for being an awkward bugger by repeatedly teleporting me to locations that I couldn't kill him from. Inconsiderate git.

I never played Fallout but seen a friend played it and seen him slaughter many Deathclaws in some sort of sewer system...

Oh the Mother's bad, plus you have to kill 4 or 5 Deathclaws just to get to her. Hardened PA and a Turbo Plasma Rifle handles her nicely though.

You'd be talking about Old Olney from Fallout 3. Much different from Fallout 1 or 2.

That reminds me of a boss from RS except he teleported himself a lot...

Yeah this is what I used, but I still lost Katja and Dogmeat. The real killer for me was the penalty to accuracy that comes from being in the dark.

Very different. Deathclaws in Fallout 3 and New Vegas are puppies compared to the originals.

I didn't lose anyone that time, but I lost everyone when I went to fight the Master. The Mother wasn't terribly difficult.

Fallout 3 for sure, in New Vegas they're stronger at least.

Those games where you fly around shooting in many directions and if you get hit with anything your ship/person/aircraft blows up.

Insector X had some hard bosses.

The boss of Shinobi 3 isn't 'hard' but you're pretty much guaranteed to have to "kill yourself" a few times to have enough life to beat him.

God of War (mostly 3) had some great boss battles, but nothing too difficult.. Still, Zeus was fun.

That is really the only boss-heavy game I really played and enjoyed. God of War is a classic in my book

Anyone here remember the Gorog boss battle in the Force Unleashed II? That guy took forever to kill!

A recent boss that really annoyed me was the 3rd boss from Deus Ex:HR, I didn't find it particularly difficult, except from the massive FPS drop I got in that room that made it impossible. Also, anything Dark Souls, especially that Goat Demon thing with two evil dog/rat things...he rushes you.

I've got to say this as well. I had to farm for money for hours before I managed to kill that boss!

Main villain I truly hate/dislike? I don't know.

Favourite common enemy: mudcrabs.

Hardest Boss you've ever beaten?

Gendra in Dead or Alive Dimentions in Tag Team Match---it was a {beep}ing nightmare plain and simple.

Octoking in Duke Nukem Forever----He's annoying because of the octobrains that join the battle and while they're out---DON'T USE ROCKET WEAPONS-----until you get rid of them (the Holoduke comes in handy here).

Ghaleon in Lunar: Silver Story Complete---this was the only RPG boss I EVER had a problem with but after I beat I saved my game cause you still have Althena to deal with and if you mess it up----you get to fight that {beep}hole again.

Most awesome boss I've never beaten is Sephiroth from Kingdom Hearts. His entrance was amazing and I died in two or three hits.

I just said it yesterday... i never have beaten (back then) the final boss from Jet Force Gemini.

Other then that, it's all good... Ninja Gaiden bring it on! :toughninja: Too bad they [censored] up Ninja Gaiden 3

Edit: maybe i shouldn't have given up so easily back then http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCx6JW2g9mU
