[RELz] No enemies on compass

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 9:29 pm

Removes the red circles that track enemy position on the compass. This allows for less hand holding and a more realistic skyrim.

A patch has been made for the Remove Sneak Indicator mod and added.

This is incompatible with any other mod that alters the hudmenu.gfx file

Awesome Idea.

I dont feel like the red dots are cheating because of the lack of sensory detection lost via the computer.
as in, no mattew loud you turn the game, surround sound can only do so much.
in real life, you would be able to pinpoint exactly which direction a sound comes from, etc etc etc.
or in a silent situation, in pitch black, you can almost feel a presence via vibrations or pressure change irl. you lose these little things in the pc simulation.
I hate diapers. but the compas isnt unreasonable imo.

Thanks. Did you use the SWiX method to make this mod as well?

You can't pinpoint where sounds come from? When I have my headphones on I can pinpoint where the slightest noises came from. If I have my character facing with his right side to a person talking, no sound comes through the left ear bud and vice cersa, so it makes it very easy.

Great mod by the way. This is exactly what I came on here in search of.

Hooray for you!

I've been hoping for a clean compass, just the cardinal points, but Bethesda's friend or foe decision and warning has to be one of the things I like least about their vanilla games since they first put it in. This is much appreciated!
