I have a recent problem today while playing skyrim. One minute the health bars of the enemys are showing and the next they are gone forever. Nothing I have done has brought them back. I have not installed any mod that makes enemy health bars go away, nor my own. My HUD has not been altered in any way. I did a search on the internet before posting here to find solutions but it seems this may be a new issue. I have a new system. I got rid of the partition and all the commercial junk they come with now days and reinstalled from the Win7 DVD and after up and running installed skyrim. Firewall and virus scanner installed before origianly connected to internet. Everything has been updated. The only thing I can think of is perhaps a virus or some kind of malware inflitrated my system but I do a full system scan once a day and nothing has shown up.

Any ides on how to fix this problem with the enemy health bars going away? Would there be some line in the ini file I can mess with to bring them back? I haven't messed with anything in the ini file and I have not fooled around with the console.

I think I had this problem before, I think I deleted my Skyrim ini files which let the game reset itself and also I verified my game cache in Steam and that solved it, try that.

I did both of those and the problem persists. Thanks for the help though.

Check your Data folder for a rogue INI file.
