The Ancient nord armor isn't in its own category is it? I haven't crafted any, but isn't it in Daedric or something? Are you sure you can't smith it in the Skyforge?

It is indeed in the Daedric category

That means you won't ever be able to get your hands on Nord Hero weapons; these are enabled along with the option to make Ancient Nord armor when you speak to him after curing Kodlak's spirit, but cannot be found in dungeons like Ancient Nord armor (iirc). I love my Nord Hero Greatsword and won't use anything else!

yeah, I would be a bit upset also, as this is my favorite 2handed weapon also
