Sorry, I had to do this, I`m desperate:

I bought the game yesterday, installed, patched and played it, no problems, worked fine. Then I had to leave, saved the game and since I tried to start the savegame it crashes to desktop after 5 minutes in the load-screen. There is sound, the text is changing, the model on the left is zooming in and out but after round about 5 minutes it simply crashes and I`m on the desk without any error or something. I changed my sound settings, directx is ok, my drivers are up to date but nothing worked. Now I even can`t start a new game, same story, loading screen -> crash. It worked yesterday and I changed nothing on my system so now I have no idea what I could do.

My System is:

Vista 64
Core I7 2,67 Ghz
6,00 GB RAM
Radeon HD 5570

Sry if it is bad written I`m not an native english speaker :)

You could try verifying that all the game files are there and intact.

Edit- This may alter config settings. It does for some games. Try as a last resort, maybe? Backup your settings and saves if you are worried.
Load Steam
From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.
