Error on Launch: GL_ARB_draw_elements_base_vertex not availa

I'm out of my depth here and would love some support to get this game running please. I've trolled through the forums and tried combinations of just about everything I can find. I've updated my video drivers twice (first using "amd_catalyst_rage_performance_driver.exe", then using "amd_catalyst_11.10_preview2_win7_vista.exe") - neither changed my experience. I've now downloaded the latest update through Steam and again, no change in experience.

My experience is:
1. Open Steam
2. Select Rage
3. Select "Play"
4. Receive dialog with text:

FIXED: The fix required to get around this issue to to disable "Switchable" graphics. This is done in the BIOS and should be set to "disabled" or "fixed" (there will only be one option for you to choose).

Once you've implemented this fix you should be able to launch the game... and you'll now be up to the same point as everyone else: trying to optimise the game settings for a decent experience.
