Hello, I have a questions about this quest that has had me stumped for a while. i started the quest and now im at the point where madanach gives me back my armor to prepare for battle outside mine exit with thonar. I did some research on this quest and read that you can receive the forsworn armor by killing hime before he exits into town and the silver blood ring can also be given to you by thonar who is meeting you outside. So i went along with it. I killed madanach before he left the mine. took his note, read it, and exited the mine. Outside i see thonar fighting the forsworn so i jump in and lend a hand. after killing the forsworn i spoke to thonar and received the sliver blood ring. The problem im having though is when i go loook at the Completed quest logs and scroll down to Escape Cidhna Mine. The box for "Escape the Mine" isnt checked. So im worried that this might have an effect on the game later on. Im worried it might glitch the entire game. Is it safe to say not to worry about it or should i reload the quest save and do the quest without trying to get both armor from madanach and the ring from thonar. Is it possible to get both items and have both quest completed.

This just lets the game know that you did what you intended( i.e. updates the journal f you did it or not), its just that the journal didn't update (Which you are not alone, a lot of players have problems with journals updating on some quests.)

Your fine. as long as the quest itself shows completed. there is nothing further with the silver-blood or forsworn in the game.
