Sign ups are open now and will be until October 31st so if you want to take part then make sure you head over to the site and register.

You can find full details of the cup and requirements on the ESL page http://www.esl.eu/eu/crysiswars/news/139159/.

One of the recruirements is: PB.
How can they support PB as the client can't update and PB dropped support for Crysis Wars. I hope actually for the players that at least Phoenix would run on it.

Let Crytek handle that problem, They know what they're doing.

Hey everyone,

Just some words about anti cheat:

- Phoenix is part of EX and EX is mandatory in this cup
- PB still detects cheats and combined with our internal EX streaming we see any violation (even if PB actually won′t catch any new cheat coming out because support was dropped).
- PB can still be used. You just have to update it manually
- We are looking into possibilities for using the ESL internal anti cheat system but this is something that cannot be used for now. If we get a go from ESL side we probably use it in tournaments.

About C2+ESL:
The ESL always supports new games if there are people that want to play it and if the games can be played in a competitive way. Therefore it seems likely that also C2 is played inside the ESL but you should check the ESL site short before release of C2 for more information. ESL TV is a TV channel and the appearance there is not related to the game itself. Depending on the success of C2 MP inside the ESL it could happen that it appears on ESL TV. Again this is all up to the ESL & Turtle Entertainment. Therefore we should wait and see what happens in March 2011.

I would guess that a European cup would be for Europeans not Americans..

DropXShoT also plays in the ESL and he is from the USA.

If you can play during the evening (6-10pm CET) at some point you can signup for the cup but your ping shouldnt be higher than ~150

As long as your ping is reasonable you should be allowed to play. I used to play a couple gathers in ESL and Leagues with 100 - 120 ping from the USA. Unfortunately my account is barred and im a bit too lazy to care about fixing it anymore after 3 weeks of support tickets.
