eso beta questions

Post » Thu Dec 05, 2013 2:20 pm

I missed the email invitation, just saw it earlier today. I was excited, downloaded the client went and did stuff then came back to play and discovered the server was locked, i thought it was maintetance but i checked around a little bit and found out it was only a weekend event a couple weeks ago and it did not say that in the 3rd email which is what I saw. and the beta servers are locked down.

my question is, is my beta key/account still good for the next event? and when is the next event?

I thought I finally got into beta on my own without being in a guild, but discovered its not even the real beta, I'm assuming there are real beta testers out there now playing the game while im locked out until the next event assuming im automaticly in or do i have to wait for an email again?

I'm sad now...

Really...?

No. Beta invites are for specific events/time periods. You may or may not be invited again.

My understanding is the only betas going on right now are these weekend events. As far as I am aware, there is no ongoing "real" beta test. That's it chum, you were invited to the real test and you missed out.

No idea when the next event may be. I'm not going to answer any other questions; in fear of being silenced. I've already said too much!

What kind of beta test runs 24/7? This isn't open beta, this is closed beta, which means the devs should be constantly taking it down to, you know, organize feedback, implement more features etc. Beta tests are not meant to be at your convenience for you to test the game, it's so THEY can test they game, and so we can help improve it. If you're so sure of beta tests should be run whenever you want them to, you should also know there's something called a NDA, and that you're breaking it right now by revealing anything other than that you're in beta.

If you didn't spell out for us that all you wanted to do was play the game early, I wouldn't be being so harsh, but yeah..

Your account is in the pool for future tests, which only happen on the weekends when announced. Keep an eye out for announcements in your inbox for future tests.

At least currently (I don't really know what their long-term plan is) the beta tests are for specific time periods.

As a note - if you can't assist another member in a manner that isn't rude or condescending then you needn't post at all. Flaming another member of this forum is grounds for warning points and posting suspensions.
