ESO Collectors Edition

Lets face it, the Oblivion Collectors Edition was [censored], and the Skyrim Collectors edition... you had to sell a kidney to afford the damn thing. But don't get me wrong, the Skyrim CE was amazing. I'm just hoping that the ESO CE, if they have one, will be just as good as Skyrims CE. And not all DLC as so many of the LEs and CEs have been lately.

See, I'm just not a fan of CE versions of games. Forking out for the same game you'll get anyway, perhaps a couple of extra DLC items and a couple of cheaply made collectibles. The prices usually seem ridiculously disproportionate. I'd rather just buy the game.

But that being said I can see why collectors would want them. And I'm quite sure there'll be a CE of The Elder Scrolls Online. Good or bad? Time will tell.

Dude, you're so wrong. Oblivion's c.e. was great. Great bang for your money. Size is not everything. it had a pocket guide to the Empire! I wish all the c.e's have that. And it had a very nice coin. Skyrim had a huge plastic toy that made the package big like an old cathodic tube TV box. The only great addition to the Skyrim edition is the artbook. But the price was insane. I'm hoping for more like an Oblivion approach (medium, compact box, books/guides/artbooks/maps and SMALL in game items like amulet, ring, coin, not huge plastic 15 inch crap).

Publishers/Developers are giving the option for players to get the digital items from a CE but without paying for the extra physical items (this bypasses the limited print of the physical items as well), this is usually a digital master upgrade or some other name. Some people love the digital items that are included with a CE.

Personally, I'll try to get a CE regardless of what it contains. For some reason I just love the extras.

Frankly I've just never been a fan of Collectibles. If there is some extra in game content, even a hat or whatever, I might go for it. But otherwise eh.

Yeah I prefer medium-sized medium-priced boxes too. Oblivion was just about 10 bucks more than the standard edition and had good stuff inside. Stuffed with good quality collectibles like the septim.

I don't mind paying if it has great items in, the best CE i have paid for is: The Witcher 2 Assassin Of Kings it was well worth the cash.
