Majority of my friends play TES on console and they don't exactly want to 'invest' in a high end computer for a game

As of right now they have no plans on making ESO on the consoles.

Also you should do a bit of research before making a topic which there is already one on this first page.

The game is meant to be playable on computers 5 years old. And honestly, MMOs are never very taxing on most computers. They should be able to run it just fine on low settings if their desktops are the usual "mom/dad's working computer".

But to answer the question about consoles...no, not very likely at all.
