ESO need a strong PVP !

It is good indeed ,that we have a huge area where factions fight each other ,mass pvp was and will be a very good mode of pvp,and many enjoy that.

But to have some good and strong pvp implemented in this game we need more than that ...

First of all we need to have pvp shards/servers..where we have open world kos within faction enemy

We should have (same faction and maybe even enemy faction duels ) duels for training purpose but sometime even to see who is better.

People who like pvp to be able to grow in levels only from pvp and not be gimped in time to max level compare with pve guys.

Gears and experience from pvp should be somehow balanced like with the guys who do mostly pve and dungeons.

Many will enjoy the pvp aspects more than pve aspect in eso (liek me).I think high end gear should be achievable in pve but in pve too

I think battle grounds and arenas should be implement in the game , after clearing the dungeons and all pve content ,all the players will want new ways of pvp, beside that in battle grounds ranking and gear will be more appealing for pvp players.

Some pvp'ers will just want some fast action and small scale pvp for 20-30 minutes per day and join a battle ground or arena make some fun kill some guys get some points for x or y reward and then just leave , and not join big scale wars with hundreds of people that last forever..

Mass scaled pvp is rvr ,a big map that is always at war and where hundreds of players fight.

Medium scaled pvp should be battlegrounds ,when teams of 10-20 players join for fast skirmishes.

Small scaled pvp should be arenas where team of 2-3-4 people fight each other.

As a hardcoe pvp guy i want to play this game mostly for pvp , of course i enjoy some pve, but i think SOE should be a game for all ,a game made same time for pve and for pvp

I loath arenas in mmos.

Every time a game has one it takes pvp away from the open world pvp and reduces pvp in the game to something that resembles quake 3 arena.

I'll vote for it if it was like the arena in oblivion but rewards were minimal, that way still gives incentives for the open world fights.

There are no shards or servers. There are, however, campaigns in Cyrodiil that function some what like a server. They will all be PvP "servers" though, obviously.

The gear for PvP and PvE is the same.

There is no dueling system in the game at launch.

They talked about Battlegrounds early early early on in development, but decided to scrap them in favor of focusing on Cyrodiil. I agree with the decision. I think Battlegrounds would distract from the Alliance vs Alliance PvP. They are pouring a ton of resources into that part of the game and I have a feeling it is going to be the stand out feature of this game. I'd hate to see less people playing it because they are busy with e-sports.

There will be lots of things to do in Cyrodiil though. If you just want a quick bit of PvP, you could always run around solo or with a small group, looking for small groups of other players. The indicator on the mini map is going to tell you how big the battle is. Just go for the small ones.

You can level completely through PvP after level 10.

I wouldn't mind seeing Arenas or Dueling added.

I think PvP is going to rock in this game though. IMO, its going to blow away every other MMO on the market. By the looks of things, no upcoming MMO has this type of PvP system either.

Oh goody, yet another thread on this. It's been hours, seriously like hours, since someone came along, and was psychic enough to know that there weren't any recent threads on this subject.

Besides, such an august person deserves their own thread so their supreme wisdom doesn't get lost.

Need to research the game a little more fella. I love the way alot of people ask for a complete revamped game. I just don't understand why some folks don't read up stuff before they post. I'm sure i have read tons of posts on the exact same thoughts and ideas and I don't see it happening.

It really does not matter how much you want this type of activity in ESO it will never happen. This is because ESO is considered a AAA title and the investment into an AAA title does not really allow for gameplay of this type.

So until some developer releases an MMO with this type of gameplay in it, and is successful with it, extremely successful, these types of gameplay activities will never appear in an AAA title like ESO, simple as that. It all boils down to what you as a developer can convince your investors to go along with and these types of gameplay activities will never be allowed until like I said, there are statistics and facts to say that they can be successful.
