An especially sadistic method of TDBF assassinations

TDBF, by the way, stands for "The Dark Brotherhood Forever." It's the repeatable quest where you can continue to murder people indefinitely.

I've noticed that most of the targets are in crowded areas, and never sleep, making it nearly impossible to kill them without getting a bounty. Fortunately, I have the misdirection perk, which lets me slip them poisons without incurring a bounty.

So, I actually came up with a rather sadistic means of killing them: Lingering Damage Health! Imp Stool and Orange Dartwing are the two most common ingredients with this effect. The duration for custom potions is always ten seconds (I spit at that, and I wish I could make it longer). With 100 alchemy skill, all five "Alchemist" perks, and 100% fortify alchemy enchantments, I can create a potion with these ingredients that is precisely 5 magnitude. This means that the targets will endure 50 health damage - just enough to kill them, as they have exactly 50 health - except that it's done over the course of ten seconds!

Imagine the sadisticness! I'm not satisying with simply running in, clobbering them with a warhammer, and getting out of their before anyone has time to blink! No, their death has to be a lingering, slow, suffering one!

The only thing better is if I could increase the duration of my potions! I'd make a potion that only does one point of damage, but over the course of 50 or more seconds. I'd like to drag their suffering out for as long as possible. Can somebody make a PC mod that allows you do that?

How about stripping him naked, set him on fire, then summon a dremora to chop his head off?. I would just usually cast Frenzy on the target and let others kill him. Simple and clean.

And...you can "possibly" increase potion power indefinitely, but that would involve breaking the game. Ever heard of Restoration potion loops?

My characters choose not to join the DB, for three reasons.

1. I don't like killing relative innocents.
Spoiler

2. I'm an Imperial supporter, so no Emperor-killing.
3. I actually LIKE the Dark Brotherhood, even if I don't like some of the stuff they do, and don't want them to die.

But my Khajiit has an effective method.
1. Invisible/Muffle + Vampire with 100 sneak. He is undetectable.
2. Plant war axe in target's back. 800+ damage with shrouded gloves (he mugged Astrid for them).
3. Go invisible again immediately (equip spell with left hand).

I place buckets over my victims heads, watch them wonder around unable to see, steal their clothes, then unleash my 60 pound war hammer into their spine and then place my mark, a potato on their lifeless corpse.

I don't see how you can actually pull that off with the game's mechanics. Can you show a video of someone actually doing that?

Frenzy counts as an assault in this game. Remember, I started doing this so I don't get a bounty.

Only the magnitude, not the duration.

Definitely. Depends... And depends.

I've done the first for the lulz all the time. Buff pickpocket so you can strip their clothes off, set him on fire with a fire spell until he routs (Destruction perk), or just cast Fear on him. Then summon a Dremora to chase after him and cut his freaking head off.

I've casted Frenzy plenty of time and did not get a bounty; that's how I went through most of my DB quests. I think you would have to be hidden, far away, or other factors.

I've gotten a 2 minute second Slow potion before using Restoration loop. Can't say the same for other poisons though; since they're specified to directly affect attributes on impact.

If you weren't already doing this, I suggest picking up the "Poisoner" perk in the Alchemy skill tree. Silently place the poison on your target, and they will simply drop dead. By the time they've fallen, you're already halfway across town, and no witnesses will be able to place you at the scene.
