There's some new info that isn't in the Kotaku/Joystiq/G4TV/IGN previews. Not much, but some. scratch that, major spoilers

'"You're a very, very bad man," the game's producer tells us with a look of concern.'

Ive not properly read all the other articles, but these are the highlights of this.

Oooh, its possible to get a passport to enter the strip rather than paying the 2000 cap fee. Not sure if that was in the others, saw people hoping for ways other than paying earlier.

You get the opportunity to shakedown a guy, to the point where you literally take the clothes off his back?

Apparantly its possible to get King's dog Rex as a companion.

They ran into a problem with a quest, where they couldnt report to the questgiver about something, and could only confront the individual about it. They found this disapointingly unfallouty.

I started to read, but then I decided that I will skim any article that doesn't seem to be detailing features. This doesn't detail any. It's pretty much a giant in-depth description of the situation in Freeside, as far as I know. It goes more in-depth than it should for a game that hasn't come out yet, honestly.

I'm just glad that you can't just walk into the city when ever you want. It's kinda, but not really, like the Citadel in Fallout 3.

Well you can walk in whenever you want if you pay the initial 2000 caps, or have a passport, or have a high enough science skill.

Or you succeed at shooting your way in. Hopefully that would be VERY hard.

you have enthusiasm..i'll give you that...but please...to make a proper entrance, one must walk up to the nearby guards, and ask for permission to enter freely, when he denies you, you take cover in one nearby broken building and just so happen to pull out a scoped hunting rifle with the two extra attachments and turn his frown upside down(and remover half of his skull while you are at it.) the robots, they move in, only to hit pulse mines...ask the dead corpse if you can enter, take his stuff and walk in and sell it to get more money for your casino runs...have yourself a night on the town and enjoy yourself!

i can say i probably won't enter the strip unless i really have to, then late into the game when i have like 10000 caps, ill do it.

I didn't want to start another thread just for this question but does anyone know how many mods we can put on each weapon?

Yes. Small details, like the existence of the Kings, Freeside, etc. are fine. But big descriptions of events in game shouldn't really exist if it hasn't been released.

A few sidequests don't hurt too bad. There could be 100 of them in the game for all we know.

See, I like the way you think. This is how I'd get in. I'll go in sooner than you say you will, though. Nobody tells me that I can't enter. I go where I please.

Apparently there's an NPC named Old Ben Kenobi who helps you get into New Vegas.

Spoiler

No it isn't. The editor assumed you can get the dog as a companion if you killed it's master.

"try to wax King and his entourage, then perhaps make off with his beleagured mutt Rex as a companion, as one of our neighbours in the Bethesda press area appears to have done. Alas, it is not to be, because King really does have a private army, and between them and Rex - who seems violently upset that we've decided to switch on VATS and target his daddy's face with explosive charges"
