So uh..ever been robbed?

Well I haven't made two topics within a month in a long time but..all these exciting things keep happening to me!

So I was in my store (name withheld) tonight. At around 8:40 or so pm I hear the door chime so I go out to greet the customer (was talking in back with another co-worker, the only one there with me) and come out to see two men with guns! Pointing right at me. At first I thought it was a joke then I realized that it wasn't at all and when he asked his question I answered. Gonna make a long story short, they were there two minutes maybe, we both complied with their wishes..gave them what they wanted, they told us to lie down and then left the store. Thankfully they didn't shoot us or anything and left without stealing anything off of us. I'm still pretty shaken up, scared.

So yeah has anyone else experienced anything like this before? I was impressed with how calm I stayed, I didn't freak out, I just gave them what they wanted and kept to myself.

Are you excited? That's awful.

My old house was broken into, didn't take much besides a TV and a few bucks.

I had my house broken into one time many moons ago, so far I haven't had it happen again luckily.

I hope you called the police!
I had a similar experience a few years ago. It is very surreal, and the adrenaline rush can be almost confusing as your instincts take over and your brain just sits there watching.

A guy tried to mug me last summer, but I broke the guys nose which sent him running. It wasn't really fear, bravery, or me being tough... It was just instinct to protect myself (and the eight beers surely helped.)

In crazy situations like this, pretty much every heightened emotion is felt.

No not excited about that at all. Just completely relieved that I didn't get shot.

Yeah we called the police of course lol. Yeah I wasn't trying anything with these guys, I just complied, gave them what they wanted and let them get the hell out.

Not me, but the house right on the corner of the street was last week. They caught the guy and let him go. Most likely some local politics is how he go toff with no charge.

Had my house broken into twice. They stole some things... Couldn't take my tv... it being too big for them to carry.. But they stole some food out of my deep freezer lol... They didn't bother going upstairs.... I still believe it was someone who knew us... Never found the people who did it

i've probably had about $1000+ worth of electronics stolen off me... about three consoles and a portable dvd player is all i can think of, but i'm sure there is more. my cousin used to have a terrible drug problem and would steal off my family and i often. he served about a year or two in jail, but right now i think he's in trouble for driving with a suspended license. not really sure if i really care about how he is doing anymore.....

I think I had an attempt by a really inept robber: he started following me and kept obstructing my path trying to look intimidating and kept demanding to know what I had in my bag. I kept asking him why he wanted to know, and he eventually gave up. I wasn't being brave or anything, I was just curious as to why my bag seemed so interesting considering it just had some old crap in it.

I have had stuff stolen from me before but that's not as exciting as being robbed I guess.

My car was broken into once, but that's about it.
