So, I'm posting this because I can't seem to find any other instances like it, but I am experiencing a situation where every single quest won't update. I can't finish started quests, progress current quests or start new ones. Everything was fine pre-patch but now I literally cannot advance a single quest. The main quest, Runil's journal, the Whte Phial, nothing. In the case of Runil's journal, I have the journal (which by the way when I got it, the quest log didn't update), but when I try to give it to him, he says thanks and tries to give me something, but nothing happens. He doesn't give me anything, nor does he take the journal or even end his dialogue. The dialogue window just stays open. I can't complete the guy in the ratway quest, nor can I get any new quests from anyone. Is this a known issue? I've seen several references to 'broken quests' but I didn't get the feel that it was ALL of them. Any help would be appreciated. I've heard about 'clean' reinstalls, but I am new to the PS3 and I hope that doesn't mean wiping and starting a new character. I am level 81 and have a ton of time invested in my current one, I have no desire to start over.

That is very odd. Sounds pretty serious...reloading previous saves doesn't work I assume. This all happened after the patch? Then a clean install may be a good option.

A clean install is where you delete everything Skyrim off your PS3 except your save file, and reinstall everything including the patch. However many would argue you need to start a new character as well, though this is debatable.

Just be careful with your saving before deletion...these quests may be uncompletable forever. If characters aren't advancing before you save they will most likely still be in limbo after you save. Go back to the oldest save file you have.
