everyone expected to get everything?

With the everyone can get every skill, talent, gear etc. if they play long enough do you think it will be excepted everyone get everything?

For instance in a TESO Off the Record podcast it is said that you can get certain things by joining the Mages guild.
Lets say you want to play a low fantasy character and dont want to join the Mages guild.
Or you want to to specialize in certain aspects of the game and dont want to explore everything, will you get yourself into group encounters or guild scenarios were it is expected that you maxed out abilities, skills or quests you dont like or want?
And you have to get skills that are typical for other classes just to get invited to groups or AvA?

We see MMOs becoming more casual friendly and in general that is a good thing (although it has some side effects too).
It is good that you dont have to play 4+ hours every day to be competitive.
I think TESO aims to be casual friendly too, but everyone can get everything might turn that a little bit into more time consuming.

I think in TES it is nice that in theory you can do everything, but since it is a singleplayer game it doesn't matter if you don't join the guilds etc. that you don't want to.
But I am not sure it is all good in a MMO that everyone get get everything.... for reasons I already explained and I like diversity between the players.

With the 6-skill hotbar, it won't matter if you maxed everything out because you will only be able to play one role at a time. No guild will really care if you had EVERYTHING maxed out, because for a dungeon run you will only be able to use a set amount of skills. Unless they only want players who can switch from tank to healer with one click versus someone who uses alts for different classes.

It depends entirely on balance of the abilities and how they spread them out.

Also, good luck on any real diversity. It is a mathematical system like any other, Fotm is a given.

You can't get every skill, class skills are class specific.

Good point! That will take care of a quite a bit of it.

Well with limits diversity comes for free. I.e. in WoW only Hunters have traps, as much a Rogue want he cant explore the whole world and find traps in some quest line, dungeon or faction.
So you have diversity.

Yep, just like in every other system that is quantifiable.

To the question I guess most want to be a part of a moderate+ competitive guild. And if it is common to get everything it will be expected by those guilds.

But yea, most likely like you say tactics will be more important.
