I'm an active poster on several message boards.. and by god... they're all whining about vampires attacking cities.

It's a really awesome feature of Dawnguard. It makes the world much more dynamic.

JW, is this as big a point of controversy here as it is elsewhere?

I don't necessarily care about spoilers being spoiled but some people do. Kind of a classless move posting that in the Skyrim General Discussion Forum when there is a Dawnguard Forum for this topic. I'm sure it was an accident as you will claim ignorance now.

Im not sure I understand the issue.
I have had not one single vampire attack on any place more than once, and zero since I advanced in the questline.
Could it be that these people dont start the questline right away and therefore the attacks keep coming?

I'm pretty much the same. I'm using a level 70 char and not had any of these so called town killing attacks.

You're quite lucky. I've gotten none in the small towns, but I can't even enter a walled city anymore without a significant percentage of my game's population dying.
