I'd suggest you play some Team Instant Action as it's not too complicated so new players will have fun, too

I still have the server documentation and phoenix installed on my computer. I'm too busy playing Bad Company 2 and Civilization V to bother playing Crysis Wars, but editing my levelrotation.xml and double clicking the start.bat shouldn't take too much energy.

Seriously though, if a US server is needed for a specific playdate, I can easily host with ample cheat protection. I won't be playing, so it would be an ideal situation for me to host.

Im still playing whenever i get the chance (friday nights and weekends mainly) It'd be good to see more ausies in the australian servers, recently theres been only one AU server being filled to a max of 15 occasionly.

Hopefully some more of you guys come in soon, it gets boring with very few people, and people in other countries dislike me coming in their servers cause of high pings of mine cause im so far away.

Im not sure when exaclty we'll all start playing or when we'll all be available to play but for starters lets try and set it for this weekend (as Zezeri suggested), including friday night. We might have some issues with playing with people in different timezones but we should be able to play with a fair amount of people despite that.

I wont be able to set up a server cause i dont have a consistently strong internet connection, but anyone else who has a pretty strong internet connection feel free to set up one. Talon could create his server like he mentioned for the US guys and the Portugal guys could join Balzak in the 7OXICiTY.net server. Maybe we could set up a server specifically for us guys at gamesas like Cry-Tom suggested. Or we could just join servers already with people in them and fill them up. The choice is yours.

Anyways. I was just trying to organise everyones ideas from this thread into one post with a few additions. Hopefully this thread can start something, maybe we'll be able to re-ignite crysis wars and bring it back for a short time, maybe even longer.

I'll be playing this friday night and maybe on the weekend, my name is the same as here: SonicTheHedgeTrimmer. If any of you guys see me on crysis wars be sure to add me as a buddie/friend, dont worry i wont spam you.........much.

I always use the NOOBHUNTERS servers as they get a decent amount of people but i will play on a gamesas server if there is one . Crytom, if a server is made then maybe you could put a poster or something on the main page so people don't have to come looking on the forum to see if there is one

Yeah, if a gamesas server is made its a good idea to make a more visable anouncement of this on the main page or something, good thinking manicattack.

I've also played in the NOOBHUNTERS server quite a bit, its good fun and doesnt use PunkBuster, which is good for those who are always getting the boot from from PB because they havent found the fix.

There's only a few servers which attract the rag-tag bunch of CW players that are left, players-flock-to-other-players which simply means a server with active players then go's on to attract more active players...and so it go's on, the server doesn't have to be good, fast, have the best mods (unlike 7oxicity.net of course, nudge nudge wink wink) it just has to be on and working and in time will build a base of regulars, unfortunately the spate of no-key servers and port-hacks (which would kill a server) damaged the reputation (and enjoyability) among it's ever decreasing fan base, even today many of the servers which are populated with 20+ players are no-key-servers (no genuine CD-key check) and then theres about 5-7 genuine/legit servers which take the rest of the players, it's a shame because the game-client itself lists these no-key servers along with the good ones, i say 'good', a good CW-server for me means it's on a dedicated host, active admins and moderators to dispatch cheaters and restore order if necessary and maybe a handful of carefully chosen game-enhancing modifications (or not, doesn't really matter) - I know most of the other legit server admins and their good people wanting to help you enjoy the game as much as they do, same for me.. i do like CW and what you can do with it, the maps, mods... hours of fun, so i can't leave you without plugging our own server you know where it is anyways...

i don't know the server name or password, but since Europe is about 8 hours ahead from the united states, where i am so if you can set it up Saturday around 8PM European time then it will be about 12-3 PM in the u.s

Hey Talon95 or anyone else who wants to make a gamesas server ive got and idea of the details for the server:
? Server name: gamesas
? No password so more people can join (though if you want a password so just us gamesas guys can go in, go for it, just let us know what it is, maybe something like welovecrytek or welovecevat)
? Max players: 32 (though the levels im gonna mention are medium to small, so maybe less if you want)
? Maps: Armada, Outpost, Evacuation, Coast (and any others if you want)
? Rotation time: after 25 mins each map
? Time: any time on friday, saturday, sunday
? Punkbuster: I say we have it off so those who have kicking problems with PB can join. I doubt we'll have any hackers, but if we do admin can shoo them off or we can turn PB back on.

I think thats it, if someone could do that that'll be great. Though if i come in this server and its located far away, you're gonna have to excuse my ping and everyone elses. If a gamesas server isnt up ill just play in some servers close to me, such as: =phX= The Rising (which im playing now )
