It's most definately the video drivers.
Go http://www.amd.com/uk/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx and use the "Find a Driver" function to the right and fill in the form and follow the directions on the screen.
I suppose you in your case would go like this:
1. "Notebook Graphics"
2. "Radeon HD Series"
3. "Radeon HD 6xxxM Series"
4. (Your windows version. It's very important that you choose the right one and the right bit-version)
For some odd reason though, when it comes to laptop drivers, AMD seems to make you download a program that will by itself download the actual self-extracting (and installing) archive.
When you are installing the actual driver (red catalyst window pops up, not the initial extraction window), select 'express install' and be careful NOT to touch or use the PC in any way while it's installing.
The screen will flicker and go black a whole bunch of times, but as long as the driver installs correctly it should return to normal.
