Am I evil or is it a mage thing?

So my character is a mage and is the archmage in college of winterhold. I know that necromancy isn't allowed, but I decided to practice it anyways, in a good way :)

So I came up to Jaree-Ra in Solitude and he offered me a job. I accepted since my character is a businessman type. I did what he did by shutting off solitudes lighthouse and he told me to go to the icerunner to speak with his sister, Deeja, and So I did and found out that I was scammed. She attacked me and I then killed her. Instead of going to the next http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Blackblood_Marauder I decided to use my dead thrall spell on Deeja and turned her into my puppet.... my slave worker. Her along with another Blackblood Marauder that I've killed both became my slave. I went to find out where Jaree-Ra was at by reading Deeja's letter. I hunted him down in Broken Oar Grotto and instead of killing him myself I had Deeja kill him for me. It was somewhat funny since he didn't really fight that much. He went into submission mode.

It was pretty messed up having a sister kill her brother. The beauty in this was in fact that she killed him with a finish mover by stabbing him in the back with her dagger.

At the end I had to kill my slaves in a humane way, of course.

Ah, Boethiah would be proud of everyone involved on both sides. Deceit, conspiracy, murder.

That's pretty cool, if the spell didn't freak out on me all the time I might actually use it. Though I can't help but ask, is Necromancy really illegal? The fellow at the college basically says it's not popular among the people but it's not outlawed. Then the court wizard of Windhelm exlcaims that it's totally illegal when you accuse him in the Blood on Ice quest.

What is it, frowned upon or illegal?

Is that a mod? Because I want a chicken and a rabbit to be following me on my adventures.

Necromancy is not illegal in Skyrim. The College of Winterhold tolerates necromancy, whereas the Mages guild of Cyrodiil was devoted to wiping it out.

It's not outlawed, just frowned upon. People just don't like seeing corpses roaming the streets.

That reminds me of my first mage RP char. When he became Arch Mage, he devoted his time to rooting out evil throughout Skyrim. One of his duties he saw himself undergoing was curing Dawnstar of it's nightmares. When Erandur began destroying the skull, and when Vaermina began talking with the old mage, he felt angry that the power that would be lost if the skull was destroyed. Lighting flew from his fingertips and the Dunmer was dead in seconds. He claimed the rightly named Skull of Corruption and raised Erandur as his undead servant.

Necromancy's not illegal, it's not tolerated, but it can be practiced. Unless you're a Merida worshiper. If you are, then you should destroy all necromancers.
