I would recommend the Lenovo Y400 and Y500 over the Y480 and Y580 for gaming. The 400/500 come standard with the NIVIDIA GeForce 650m with the capacity to SLI two of them. This is due to its "Ultrabay" which allows you to swap out the DVD drive for a Blu-Ray Reader/Writer, Extra Fan, Extra HDD or the prementioned Extra 650m.

The Y480/580 on the other hand have the 660m which bests the 650m by about 15%, but that pales in comparison with the the 650m SLI potential setup.

Those are great deals, but can you link to the specific model that has dual 650m's in SLI? I couldn't find the option when clicking on "customize."

Too bad there are not two of those Ultra-Bays and we could upgrade the entire graphics card when needed. As that is just about the only thing that needs to be upgraded on a gaming machine from time to time.

The "Ultrabay" feature is on all the models. They ship with the DVD drive standard, so you have to buy the extra 650m separately.

Oh I wish, but my Y400 only has a resolution of 1366x768 so it should be fine for a while.
