Exclamation Marks on Dawnguard Armor

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 2:52 pm

I just downloaded Dawnguard from Steam, but whenever I approach anyone in the Dawnguard, their armor is one giant exclamation point. I don't understand if this is a glitch, or can be fixed. Anyone having this problem?

Moar like 2 red arrows than a !. Anyway, this reminds me when I installed the European version (FIGS) and everyone with the new armors were half-naked. Fun stuff.

The BSA should be auto-loading. Try adding Dawnguard.bsa to your Skyrim.ini's sResourceArchiveList2:Archive line?

This all over again. My. God. So what, now Beth will have to take a month to release a title update for that? I hope not for you!

No need to get hotheaded fupark. I still don't understand why it's happening, and I think for $20 DLC, this shouldn't be happening right now.

I had the same problem. Verify your skyrim game cache and that should fix it.

I'm having a pretty bad dawnguard bug. After I choose to become a vampire load and go though the tacky vamp training, I get attack by all the vampires. I was reading that I guess is because I'm a werewolf. What should I do, is there a console command I can use?

I'm giving that a try right now Smoothhandle! Hopefully it works.
Hmmm, can you load up another save file and cure your werewolf?

Verifying integrity of game cache fixed it! Anyone who has this problem just go to properties on Skyrim in your steam library, and do the same!

It means that the mesh is missing, I think any modder will of seen this countless times. Either your dawnguard armour mesh isn't there or it is in the wrong folder.

If I remember right Fallout 3's The Pitt had missing meshes too on Xbox 360 before it was pulled and re-released, which displayed as red exclamation marks.

Mods mods mods. I always wait and only install a couple of mods until I know that all DLCs are done then I go crazy. Map conflicts like a house or a mod that adds items to an area will cause problems. Always patch your game to the current patch or something will stop working. I had no bugs at all nothing, no errors at all because I don't have too many mods installed only two so far. It is not the DLC it is what you might have installed or modified.
