EXP like in Fallout?

Hi fellow Bethesda lovers!

Just interested in what you guys think. Personally I prefer the whole system of getting a certain amount of experience points depending on what you're killing.

Skyrim and Oblivion run off "the more you do something the better you get at it" leveling system, I would have much preffered an EXP points leveling system, then you increase your skills with the amount of points you get afterwards. And attributes such as Strength, Endurance etc. or a S.P.E.C.I.A.L system.

So what do you guys think?

Two different games. In Fallout, you are rewarded for what you accomplish, in TES, you are rewarded for what you do.

I think it works good in fallout and should stay there. TES games have always been skill based leveling and should remain so. I find it a much better experience in regards to character building.

I like the current system more, just for this series, in other games I like the xp system as well. As regarding the attributes, I would like them to return in TES. The more layers of customization, the better for me and the attributes can serve that if implemented well. New Vegas kind of attributes are just great.

I'm used to this system for so long why would I need a change. As a matter of fact I did experience the change in the Oblivion mod (made by German) and I still prefer this method.

I don't mind experience systems in some RPGs (more objective based than kill based though).

For TES however, I prefer more natural skill progression personally. It's not without it's flaws, but for me it better suits the level of realism and immersion I want from such games.
