apparently upload speed is the key or in otherwords a good bandwidth at least 100-120k for good gaming experience

Yes,but they are talking about running a game on dedicated servers, which C2 is not doing.Don't know if that changes for P2P servers though.

It was for all the people that have been asking about dedicated servers and if were guna get them. P2P works very differently but as theres so much data to transfer in this game then people are beginning to speculate that if even a host with a decent average up load connection of say 700Kb can split this between 11 other players and carry them all through the game. Way to much bandwidth needed for just P2P servers

i dislike companys that make a good game but go with p2p servers it has killed many games, just because alot of ppl cant support it then get on the companys ass because their to cheap to afford a better connection.

svcks when you got a 70mb+ dl with a 40mb+ ul

more companys are switching to dedicated inhouse servers because of this

zipper did wonders with mag, i can not recall a time when i lagged in that game except for the server issues they had when it was pretty new.

yes they can do that but it will be alot of downtime while they rerwite code and get proper servers then put the patch thru to the networks so the game reads properly on how to connect to the server

i guess it would depend on how bad the numbers of players leave the game, but in terms of that not sure

the terms you accepted when you bought the game says they really dont have to make the online xperience good. but then if they did not would you buy another game with their name on it.

i love the fine print.

WTF?!

When MAG started off, that was probably the best time for the game as far as lack of lag,and that's pretty well known. It ran 256 players virtually lag free, and very few complaints of freezes.

Nowadays, the game is running only two servers for the whole world, and it shows, because the lag can be totally unbearable at times, and it generally lasts for a couple of hours at a time, and not match to match.
